ride-tribe explores the high tops

So we've published some photographs of a recent exploration by bike of the high Sierra Nevada.

We climbed from the vehicle barrier at about 2,300m to just below the final climb to Veleta at 3,100m. The day started with us shrouded in mirky clouds. But we cleared them at about 2,700m to reveal some spectacular scenery.

We took Batlugs along with us, who disgraced herself by chasing after a herd of ibex towards the top of the climb. Not withstanding the fact she disappeared for about fifteen minutes, she was running the danger of being shot by a park ranger, should one have been in the vicinity to witness the stunt. The picture to the right here shows you what Butlugs thought of it all.

Anyway a great day was had by all and confirmation again of what a unique environment the high Sierra Nevada is for riding your bike.
