batlugs - our temporary mascot
Just thought I would introduce the world to ride-tribe's new (temporary) mascot:
Her name is Delilah, but we have taken to calling her Batlugs owing to her propensity for sticking her ears out at 90 degrees to her head thus gaining maximum cute points.
She proports to share at least some genetic code with a breed of sheepdog from Cataluña in north east Spain. Certainly she has a talent for running. We have been exercising her by taking her out on bike rides. Whatever the terrain she will attempt to at least match the speed that you are going at on your bike. And she will usually succeed in the attempt. To that end you get her running at about 40 kph no problem. And she could probably keep that pace up for a good ten to fifteen minutes or so.
Alas, much as we would want to, we can't keep her as ride-tribe's permanent mascot. We are looking after her on behalf of some friends who have moved back to the UK. Batlugs is due to be repatriated with her owners by the middle of November.
